This is an invitation to NAIS Community members from the Independent Curriculum Group.

The ICG has on its calendar three ACADEMIC LEADERS RETREATS for 2016-17 to which we cordially invite all interested academic administrators, college counselors, department chairs, teacher-leaders, and others engaged with helping schools evolve in their practice and programs toward more effective, mission-aligned, and student-centered learning.

The ALR format involves several “learning sessions,” facilitated by Jonathan Martin and assisted by me in my role as ICG executive director, as well as several unconference sessions and some unstructured time for participants to share ideas and questions and to build their Professional Learning Networks. Congenial settings and good food round of the program.

The third annual ACADEMIC LEADERS RETREAT EAST will take place on October 26-28 at the Whispering Pines Conference Center in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Information and registration links are HERE. There is limited space available, so we urge those interested to register soon.

In January our very first ACADEMIC LEADERS RETREAT NOLA will happen at the Renaissance Arts Hotel in New Orleans, the 11th through the 13th. Information and registration links can be found HERE.

And in April ACADEMIC LEADERS RETREAT PACIFIC debuts at the Asilomar on the Monterey Peninsula. Information and registration links HERE.

We invite all academic leaders to come to learn and to build their professional learning networks at one of these premier events.

The ICG is also building its calendar of other events, and we have just inaugurated our new podcast with episodes featuring conversations with John Gulla of the E. E. Ford Foundation and Tim Fish, newly appointed Chief Innovation Officer at NAIS.
