This is just a quick update for our friends in the NAIS community on several things coming up on the Independent Curriculum Group calendar:

Next TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23 at 3:45pm ET we are hosting a webinar presented by staff from The Miami Valley School (OH) on its integration of experience-based "immersive" learning methods across the curriculum at all grade levels, K–12. Designed for engagement, relevance, and the development of a range of skills and dispositions, the Miami Valley "immersion" method represents an innovative but well developed model that should be of great interest. On TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13 at 3:30pm ET we host a webinar presented by staff at TMI Episcopal School (TX) on the ways in which TMI intentionally works to develop engaged teacher-leaders. As TMI says, "Teacher leadership is a catalyst for student growth, teacher retention, and a positive school culture." Learn how the school works to help faculty develop confidence, skill, and voice. The ICG and One Schoolhouse are again collaborating to offer two ACADEMIC LEADERS RETREATS in early 2019, the first in Santa Monica, California, on January 28–29 and the second in New York City on February 7–8. Featuring expert-led learning sessions on such topics as change management, curricular innovation, and personalized learning as well as several participant-driven sessions, our ACADEMIC LEADERS RETREATS are designed for academic administrators, department and division heads, and teacher leaders from schools at all levels. The ICG's full calendar of events can be found HERE.

The Independent Curriculum Group is a community of over 130 schools committed to creating learning experiences based on their own missions and their own values and designed for their own students. You can learn more about the ICG on our website and about becoming an ICG Partner School HERE.

We look forward to having you with us at any of our events or as a Partner.

Thanks, and all good wishes-Peter Gow
