The Independent Curriculum Group is closing out the 2015-16 webinar year with SCHEDULE-PALOOZA, a series of three webinars from schools that have taken radically different approaches to the organization of time for their academic programs. If your school is considering or even just dreaming about a new kind of schedule, this free webinar series should be of interest.
On Wednesday, May 11 at 3:30 ET Beaver Country Day School is up, with a schedule that allows students to complete a semester’s work in a trimester and that has fueled a succession of curricular innovations for nearly twenty years.
On Tuesday, May 17 at 2:30 ET, we hear from Shattuck-St. Mary’s School, whose recently developed and highly innovative schedule creates time for an extensive blended learning program as well as allowing students to pursue in-depth Centers of Excellence in academics, the arts, and athletics.
On Tuesday, May 24 at 2:30pm ET we end SCHEDULE-PALOOZA with a webinar from The Cambridge School of Weston. For more than forty years CSW’s “mods and blocks” schedule has permitted in-depth, focused learning through immersive teaching and an ever-changing array of student-inspired elective courses.
